My reports will not print to my printer?

In some cases, you may need to set the printer that you would like to print to as the default printer by pressing start then control panel then printers and faxes.  Right click on the printer that you would like to print to and click on "set as default".  Once this is done, you should be able to go back into KidzPro and print your reports on that printer.

I cannot get the address labels to align?

In order to be sure the address labels fit the label paper (such as Avery labels), you must first set the label dimensions in the KidzPro Software.  Once this is done, you may need to adjust the page setup by clicking on "page setup" and changing the margins.

I am getting a "Maximum number of users has been reached" error message?

When you attempt to use more users than you have purchased, this message will appear.  If you are recieving the error and you do not believe you have that many users using the system, it could possibly be due to the fact that you have a user "hung up" on the computer.  In order to disconnect the "hung up" user, click system management then connections and disconnect the hung up user.  (These options are only found in the adminstrative screen)

If you cannot get into the administrative screen, you will need to restart the server.  This can be done by clicking start then control panel then administrative tools then services.  Find the service named KidzPro server and restart the service.  This should reset your users.

My Numeric UDF will not let me enter enough numbers?

The numeric UDF field is created for smaller numbers between 0-999.  If you would like to create a field such as "Cell Phone #", you will want to create a text field instead of a numeric field to fit all of the numbers of a phone number.

My Dymo Printer will not print?

There could be a few factors that could lead to this issue.  You will want to initially check which printers are set up on your computer by pressing start then control panel then printers and faxes.  Check to be sure there is only one dymo printer set up on your computer.  The printer should say ready underneath it.  If it does not say ready, check to be sure the printer is plugged in correctly.

Another option that could cause the printer not to print is the labels are not aligned in the printer correctly.  This is likely due to the spool not being pressed tightly against the roll of labels.  This could cause the sensors to not be able to read the labels correctly.

The final factor that could cause the Dymo printer not to print is that you do not have the Dymo printer as the printer that you have chosen to print to.  Be sure you choose the Dymo printer when you are first using the software and you press print to print all of the badges.

My Dymo Printer is shooting out blank labels?

If your printer is giving you blank labels, it is probably because the spool is not pressed tightly against the roll of labels causing the labels to be misaligned and the sensors on the printers to misread the labels.  Simply force the spool against the labels and retry printing.

The information is printing on only half of the labels?

This is probably because the incorrect label size is chosen.  To change the label size, click start then control panel then printers and faxes and right click on the Dymo printer.  Choose printing preferences then advanced.  Change the paper size to 30258 diskette.

You may have to restart the KidzPro client for the changes to take effect.

Why would I choose to never show a UDF?

When creating a User Defined Field, there is an option to show the UDF always, hidden, or never.  Choosing never will not allow the field to be viewed from the check in screen, but the UDF is still created and there can still be information in it.  If you would like to enter information in that field and administrator will simply have to change the field to always shown.  Once the information is entered, the administrator can change it back to hidden so that it will not be shown anymore.  When reporting, you can still report off of that field even if the field is hidden.

Why would I choose "Administrator Only" UDF's?

This option is so that an administrator can create fields that they are the only ones that have access to.  An example of these type of UDF's would be to create a personal file where personal information can be stored on a person or family, and the adminstrator is the only one that has access to it.

How do I use Bag Badges?

The bag badge option is a very useful tool to create labels for things such as diaper bags.  This option can be turned on or off, and can be found in the system management screen under options.  In order to use bag badges, you must first create a numeric UDF specific to children that is name "bags".  Once this has been created, an option to choose that field will appear under options in the system management.

If you would like the number of bags a person has to appear on the child's badge, simply press "print on badge" in the UDF options.

Can I change my badge style?

We have given you different options that you can use.  Those options can be found by clicking on system management then options.  Be sure to run a test badge of each style to be sure you have chosen the right style that fits your needs/

How do I use pagers with KidzPro?

Most churches create a numeric UDF field specific to the family for a pager field.  Be sure to click on "print on badge" so the pager number can print on each badge within the family.  All that you must do is place numbers on your pagers and enter that number into the field as you are handing out the pager.

How do I use a family code with KidzPro?

Many churches use a numeric family code that is placed on a screen in the front of the auditorium when a child is in need of their parents.  To make this work with KidzPro, you should simply create a numeric (3 numbers) or text (more than 3) field, and enter the family code into the field.  This seems to work best as a family UDF.  Be sure to click "Print on Badge" in order for all of the labels in the family to have that code.  All UDFs are static fields meaning they remain the same each week until they are changed by a user.
